![]() ![]() But seemingly they're not responsible for that. I thought the whole point of the system was RF looked after them somewhere so they always had them safe. Apparently, I should have backed up the passwords somewhere. Previous upgrades have been fine but this time it completely wiped all my passwords! Let's remind ourselves: I'd been using RF for 5 years to generate a whole family of secure passwords. Previous versions were robust enough and worked across my PC, iPad and iPhone (I never really used the log on to any computer app/website.) I liked how RF could generate secure passwords and offered to remember them for you - in 2012 this was better than Chrome and Safari were offering! However, RF just upgraded to Version 8. Worked OK until it lost *all* of my passwords. As mentioned in the email we just sent we have closed the ticket on our end internally but should you require additional assistance please feel to reach out directly! UPDATE : Thank you for clarifying and thanks for assisting us in connecting. ![]() If you did not receive any of these please reach out to so we can assist you directly and come to a resolution. We have reached out via the Trustpilot system and not heard back as well as an email we believe to be yours from our database. If you are using our Everywhere service however, there is a charge as was always the case. Please note that as of the latest version which came out last year we do allow a free upgrade from Desktop to our Free version which is the licensing equivalent. More info on this here: In the past, we sold stand-alone licenses on a per computer basis (Desktop) as well as Everywhere. RoboForm operates under a freemium model whereby RoboForm Everywhere (our premium service) is a subscription but the product itself on just one device without syncing and other Everywhere benefits is free. So now, I no longer have what I rightfully purchased and am back to a trial version because siber systems is a greedy dishonest company that steals back from you what you pay for. I have more than 10 passwords, that's why I purchased an upgrade. This "free upgrade" is nothing more than a downgrade in which you are limited to 10 passwords. I DID reply to the email, it was just ignored and this ridiculous reply below posted. Update: the reply below from roboform is a bunch of bunk. If you sell software to people with the understanding that it is desktop software being purchased for a one time price, I don't see how it is legal or ethical to come back six years later and lock the program and start demanding you pay them the original purchase price every year to keep using it. So apparently now, 6 years later, they have decided the $19.99 is going to be a yearly fee and I suddenly received a message that my desktop versions have expired and I have been locked out, and they want another $19.99 per computer to keep using it another year. The last time I had to purchase it again in 2011, I paid $39.98 so I could install it on two computers. Over the years, when I had to replace my computers, it would force me to buy it again because the original installation files wouldn't work. I purchased this program many years ago when it was $19.99, as a one time purchase.
